I found this recipe on youtube, and I'm making these later in the week as
I'm having company.

What You Need
One 12 oz. package of chocolate chips of your choice
2 tablespoons butter
2 cups of any chocolate fillings...cookie crumbs rice crispies, shredded
coconut, chopped nuts, raisins, broken up pretzels, etc. (if you use all or
some of these, it has to add up to 2 cups, so if you're using coconut and
broken pretzels, you can use 1 cup pretzel crumbs and 1 cup coconut. If
you're using raisins, nuts, and cookie crumbs, you can do a cup of nuts,
half cup of cookie crumbs, and a half cup of raisins)
Equipment
Baking sheets
Wax paper
An air tight container
A microwave safe dish
A spoon
A tablespoon measuring spoon or a butter knife

Optional
Peanut butter or butterscotch chips

What to Do
Step 1. Melt the chocolate and butter together on the stove or in the
microwave. One trick I learned for measuring a tablespoon of butter is if
you have the sticks of butter, put the dull edge at the very end of the
stick, the end that is towards you, and then bring the knife away from you,
and where the cutting part of the knife is, that's a tablespoon of butter.
Step 2. While the chocolate and butter mixture is still hot, measure out
your other ingredients such as the nuts, pretzel crumbs, and raisins. You
can use all or some of these ingredients. Once it is measured out, mix it in
with your melted chocolate and butter mixture until combined. If you are
using a bigger bag of chocolate chips, you may need more butter and
fillings, so measure accordingly.
Step 3. Line baking sheets with wax paper, and spoon mixture onto your
prepared baking sheets. Then put in the refrigerator until firm, at least 2
hours.
Step 4. Store in an air tight container and enjoy!

great hint on a tbsp. of butter. another thing to remember is that a stick of butter is divided in to eight parts. that is because a half cup of butter has eight tablespoons. a cup has 16 tablespoons.

oh these are even more awesome if you put 1/2 dark chocolate chips and 1/2peanutbutter chips. by the way 6 ounces of chips is 1 cup. so you can just use one cup of each. thenafter these have cooled use a whip and a chir to keep the hungry hounds in your home aaway from them.

Yes, I knew one stick of butter was a portion of a cup, I just wasn't sure
how much. I knew it was a quarter or a half. That trick to measure out a
tbsp of butter is good, so that's why when I bake, I use the stick butter. I
did use dark chocolate chips. Oh, and 8 ounces is a cup, not 6. I wanted
to use peanut butter chips, but my friend Alex doesn't like peanut butter,
so I had to leave them out. I made them today, and they are very good.
They basically taste like a piece of chocolate with coconut and pretzels. I
crushed pretzels to put in them. I was nervous as I wasn't sure how they
were gonna come out as it was my first time making them, but they were
good. You don't taste the butter, so I'm not sure why you even need it,
but I follow recipes. Next time I will add peanut butter chips. I wonder
how they would be with mint chips...
